By starting to use EdaFit, you agree to these Terms. Please take a minute to read them.
1. Service Description
EdaFit is an application that uses neural networks to visually evaluate food. The algorithm attempts to determine the dish, its composition, and its approximate calorie content based on your photograph.
2. No Medical Advice
EdaFit is not a medical tool; it does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe diets. We have immense respect and understanding for those who follow specific dietary regimens due to health reasons (including allergies and recovery from eating disorders) or cultural and religious beliefs (such as Halal or Kosher).
However, we want to emphasize: all information in the app is provided for reference purposes only. If you wish to change your diet or make a health-related decision, please consult a doctor first.
3. AI Limitations and Disclaimer
Computer vision is still evolving and is far from perfect. We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy when it comes to recognizing dishes, hidden ingredients, allergens, or calculating calories. We genuinely care about your health and ask you to always be cautious.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to this, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer (BreadNotes) shall not be legally liable for any potential harm to health, allergic reactions, or violations of your dietary/religious principles if you rely on scan results. Please always rely on your own experience and critically assess the composition of your food.
4. Photo Ownership and Your Responsibility
- Your Rights: You remain the full and rightful owner of all images uploaded to EdaFit.
- Our License: You only grant us permission to send the photo to the AI provider for recognition and to save the result in the cloud for your scan history.
- Your Responsibility: You guarantee that the images you upload do not violate local laws (for example, the privacy rights of other individuals or national security regulations).
5. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. However, if you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer protection rights of your country of residence. You may bring disputes to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts or the competent courts of your country of residence.
6. Changes to Terms and Access Management
We are constantly improving EdaFit and reserve the right to update these Terms. We will definitely notify you of any significant changes (for example, directly within the app). Additionally, to maintain order and security, we may, at our sole discretion, suspend or permanently ban the account of any user who violates the rules or abuses the service.
